What are used mechanical and electrical products?
1.Mechanical and electrical products that have been used for a period and still keep their basic functions and maintain certain use value (but not include those that just have been tested and debugged before using )
2.Mechanical and electrical products that have never been used but have exceeded their quality assurance date.
3.Mechanical and electrical products that have never been used but spare parts have obvious tangible loss because of long-time storage.
4.Mechanical and electrical products that assembled by new and used spare parts
5.Mechanical and electrical products that have been renewed.
In recent years, more and more voice boxes are imported into China, including a lot of used voice boxes. Based on this case, we would like to share more about the importation of used mechanical and electrical products.
Three steps that must be taken before declare used mechanical and electrical products to China customs.
Step 1, confirm the declared name and HS codes of the imported goods and check if they are listed Catalogue for Used Mechanical and Electrical Products Banned from Importation (Hereinafter referred as Catalogue)
Step 2, check if the imported goods have been listed in the List for Used Mechanical and Electrical Products that Shall be Taken with Inspection & Supervision Measures (Hereinafter referred as List) If in the list, the imported goods shall accept pre-shipment inspection and obtain the inspection certificate before shipping or at the transit place. If the goods is not either in the Catalogue or the list, they can be imported without pre-shipment inspection and shall accept port inspection and destination inspection instead.
Step 3, after shipment arrival, the China customs agent shall declare to China customs with pre-shipment inspection certificate or import statement (for used mechanical and electronic products in the List)
The applied for HS code the used voice boxes that SeaHog Guangzhou helped import was 8518220000, with just 13% value added tax. The used voice boxes are in the List, and not in the Catalogue. They could be imported without pre-shipment inspection.
Notes for importing used voice boxes
1.China customs will review and verify the declared prices. Normally, China will calculate the remaining value based on the actual conditions of the used voice boxes and the prices of the new voice boxes.
2.Please note that the brand and model of the used voice boxes shall be shown on the name plate, and the voltage shall meet China national standards.
3.Like other used mechanical and electronic products, used voice boxes shall accept destination inspection before being used. Please note that before passing the destination inspection, the used voice boxes can not be used, otherwise the importer will be fined.
